So you want to learn English, and have a good time too! Well you have chosen the right destination. Jbay Language School offers English course coupled with surf lessons in a variety of different packages. The table below gives you options on type of accommodation as well as how many surf lessons you would like to do during that time.
English classes are conducted in the mornings between 09h00 and 13h00, Monday to Friday. Afternoons are dedicated to getting wet and learning some surf lingo.
Surf Lessons are given by Jeffreys Bay Surf School, a reputable company that has operated in Jbay since the year 2000. All their boards are custom designed for beginners, giving you the encouragement to stand on your first lesson! Rentals can be organised to practice over weekends and other free time.

SCUBA Diving Packages
Jeffreys Bay Language School can organise SCUBA diving courses for students who are visiting South Africa for 3 weeks or longer. The Language course is held in Jeffreys Bay and course prices are per the normal course rates. Please refer to that page. The SCUBA courses are held in Storms River/Tsitsikamma National Park, an hour from Jeffreys Bay. Thus the courses will run one after the other and not together as the surf packages do. Accommodation in the National Park can also be arranged. The park is a pristine area for many activities including hiking trails, snorkelling, SCUBA, Treetop Canopy Tours, Boat cruises and Fishing. The world renown Otter Trail is in this area. Please enquire via email as to current rates of the SCUBA Courses and accommodation in the Park.
Other Packages
Jeffreys Bay Language School is happy to help with organising any other tours or packages you have in mind. Game viewing is a great draw card to the Eastern Cape. An excellent excursion to ensure that you see the wide spectrum of animals is our full day tour to Addo Elephant Park and Schotia Safaris. Between these two parks you will find elephant, kudu, eland, rhinoceros, lion, cheetah, zebra, buffalo, giraffe, baboon, springbok and much more. The day culminates in a feast under the stars - all cooked on open fire. Accommodation in the park is available.
Hire a car or catch a bus to different destinations along the coast - Port Elizabeth for cultural and historical knowledge, Plettenberg Bay for boat based Whale and Dolphin viewing, Knysna for oyster feasts and hikes, Storms River for bungy jumps and nature. We can arrange all the necessary tickets, hiring, accommodation and tours.
